Bowen research into Asthma
This year I am involved in a small programme of research into how Asthma can be helped with Bowen. The treatments given to the volunteer are throughout the year and results won't be correlated and published till next year. However, the volunteer I have is so far delighted with how the treatments have helped him. His life has been made much easier and with less use of his inhaler.Bowen Research - Into Migraine
In 2001 Barbara and I took part in a small research programme on the efficacy of The Bowen Technique in the treatment of the Migraine condition. Very briefly :- 39 people participated, each was given 3 treatments exactly a week apart.Of the 39 participants :-
7 registered no change in their migraine condition
11 experienced a decrease in frequency of attacks
9 experienced a decrease in severity of their migraine
11 experienced a decrease in both severity and frequency of attacks
In all, 31 case studies experienced a positive result yielding a response rate of 79.5% At the end of the programme 36 of the volunteers said that they would recommend Bowen as a treatment for migraine.
